Winter 2019 Atelier experience

This eight-week open studio seminar is an opportunity for participants to work independently, side-by-side with Joynoelle designer, Joy Teiken, in her South Minneapolis Atelier.

There are 8 Saturdays (9am to 3pm) where the Joynoelle Atelier will be open for the participants to work  on projects of their choice with Joy's guidance.  Also, each week at least 2 days of lab-time will be available for  designers to work independently on their projects.

Designers will be encouraged to create a capsule collection that will be shown during a salon-style presentation in conjunction with the Spring Joynoelle showing. (Date to be determined)

Since this is an open studio/independent learning experience with set days and times, participants can come as often as they wish and anytime that fits in their schedule within the set open hours provided.

This seminar is open to all skill levels (some sewing experience and machine usage is best) and all ages and Joy will teach individuals and small groupings the basic skills of pattern-making and draping.

Basic sewing machines are provided as well as some fabric and notions.  Designers may wish to bring their own machines.

Class size is limited to 6 designers
